Robben Women

Robben Island
Is nothing
Robben Island
Is easy
Africa is saved by imprisoned woman hours
Still chained
As freely as their European sisters are chained
Searching for freedom in
Rotten words
Gasping
Robben Island is lived
Day to rotten day
By women who love their children
And catch breathe
I am proud
I will life to see my last breathe
On African soil
Amid the
The misery
Of lost hope
I do not speak
An African language
I not wonder under an African sky
But I am African
Because
I stay
In the place I found my roots
And committed
When I die
Do what you will
With me
But do it in Africa
When I am dead
I will be free
And spill my hungry freedom
On African soil
Before
I am lost
To Zuma
